WATCH // New Video For Wolf People’s “Empty Vessels,” Band Announces First Ever North American Tour

Wolf People share their brand new video for the song “Empty Vessels.” Inspired by the artwork for their Fain album, the video is a collage of live performance and album imagery. Director Phil Poole created the video “as an abstract piece exploring the many layers and depths to the track, through a combination of unorthodox visuals and motion graphics.” “Empty Vessels” is found on Fain, which is now available SC Distribution, Amazon, iTunes and your local record store.

In other EXTREMELY exciting Wolf People news, they have announced their first ever North American tour. Even better? Many of the dates are with Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Check out their schedule below, with more dates TBA.

“Although the album’s influences are easily tracked, it’s far from a case of meritless mimicry. Much as the masters of vintage British folk-rock took musty inspirations and moulded them in the shape of the times they operated in, the London four-piece mix and match ingredients to create sounds that, whilst respectful of what has gone before, are unmistakably rooted in the here and now. The results are frequently mesmerising.”The Line Of Best Fit

Wolf People Announce Sophomore Album – ‘Fain,’ Stream First Single

Wolf People ring in 2013 with their sophomore album, Fain. Out April 30, the album was recorded in an isolated house located in the rainy countryside of Yorkshire Dales. They could not have picked a better atmosphere to put these new songs to tape. Available for your listening pleasure is the first single “All Returns” – listen above.

“Seemingly inspired by a dream in which an acquaintance of Jack Sharp looked into the songwriter’s eyes and picked apart the vagaries of his soul, it’s a typically bewitching, otherworldly return from the group.” Clash on “All Returns”

You can see Wolf People live at the end of March! They are playing three shows: Bedford’s Esquires on the 28th, Preston’s The Continental on the 29th and Sheffield’s Queen’s Social Club on the 30th.

Wolf People’s Tidings Re-released on CD Today!

Originally released on vinyl in February of 2010, Tidings is officially available in CD format today! The Line of Best Fit calls it, “a relaxed and fluent assemblage, entwined in a gorgeous psychedelic, blues rock holy matrimony.” Created before the band’s actual formation by frontman Jack Sharp, the album features a slue of experimental endeavors that lead up to what is now known as Wolf People. “Tidings then, is a journey down a strip of tape from one reel to the other. Yes, it’s a little warped and damaged, but that’s what gives it its character; the insane parts make the most sense of all,” says Tiny Mix Tapes. Get it on CD or LP HERE!
