Life just keeps getting better and better for Sharon Van Etten. In 2014, she gave us the breathtaking Are We There which made itself onto a smattering of Top Ten lists, including Uncut, Noisey, Under The Radar, American Songwriter, Drowned In Sound, Paste, Stereogum & Q Magazine. Yesterday, a ga-jillion people saw Sharon on The Ellen Show where she debuted new single ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down’ (Also on the episode was Mariah Carey, but alas, no guest verse from Mimi). Recorded at the Spotify offices in New York, Sharon shares tracks “Tarifa”, “Every Time The Sun Comes Up”, and “Afraid Of Nothing” from 2014′s Are We There, in addition to “Tornado” from her debut LP Because I Was In Love. WATCH // Sharon Van Etten Shares “Taking Chances” Video, ‘Are We There’ Out May 27th

Today Sharon shared a new video for “Taking Chances” via The Guardian premiere off her upcoming album Are We There. The video, based on the opening sequence from the Agnes Varda film Cleo from 5 to 7, is directed by Michael Palmieri. Watch the video above or on Sharon’s YouTube / Vevo page.
