UMO Share “So Good At Being In Trouble” Audio Stream & Video Stills, Announce Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Performance on February 25

Unknown Mortal Orchestra share the second single off their forthcoming record, II. Titled “So Good At Being In Trouble,” the track is available for streaming above! To make things a tiny bit sweeter, Pitchfork just gave the song its Best New Track approval.

“So Good At Being In Trouble” is getting the visual treatment. The official music video stars actor and musician Chris Mintz-Plasse (of The Young Rapscallions) and will soon be available for your viewing pleasure. Until then, check out some stills from the shoot below.

The next bit of news only makes sense. UMO will make their late night television debut on February 25 with a performance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Don’t you dare miss it!

Unknown Mortal Orchestra Remixed By Little Dragon, Pre-order ‘II’ to Download Entire Album Before Release Date

Little Dragon has taken on Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s “Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)” and spun the once mellow song into pulsing house track, complete “with deep grooves and airy melodies.” Rolling Stone premiered the the remix and you can listen on the site or below. Unknown Mortal Orchestra Announce Headlining Tour, ‘II’ Pre-order with Deluxe Bundles Now Available

Unknown Mortal Orchestra waste no time in getting back to the road! Today they announce a full headlining US tour, along with a handful of dates throughout Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. They will be joined by labelmates, Foxygen, and Portland-based band, Wampire. You’ll find all the dates listed at the end of the post.

UMO are touring in support of their forthcoming album, II, set for release on February 5, 2013. The album pre-order is now live and features a sweet deluxe bundle, which includes II on CD or vinyl, the “Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)” 7″, a temporary tattoo, a root chakra print and a poster of Janet the Witch (both designed by Ruban). Bundle purchasers will also receive an early download of the entire album on January 10.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra Announce Jagjaguwar Debut, Out 2013


It’s official. Unknown Mortal Orchestra announce their sophomore album, II, the follow up to 2011′s esteemed debut. Think Pink Floyd, the Family Stone, The Beatles and Soft Machine shaken up and pushed through Ruban’s distorted rock’n’roll kaleidoscope. II came to be during Ruban’s long inhabitance of the perils intense touring often encapsulate. Themes of loneliness, love and despair surface on the new record, giving listeners a special lens to life on the road. II is out February 5, 2013.

A few weeks ago, we shared the first cut from II – the fantastic “Swim and Sleep (Like A Shark).” Go ahead a give that track another listen above. In addition to streaming, you can now purchase the once tour-exclusive “Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)” b/w “Waves of Confidence” 7″ via iTunes.
