Sharon Van Etten on Fallon Tonight! Album Available for Preorder!

It is a big night for Sharon Van Etten! In her late night television debut, Van Etten will play live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight, Thursday, January 5th. Guests also include Rachel Maddow and Portlandia co-creator, Fred Armisen.

All of this comes on the brink of her soon-to-be-released album, Tramp. The LA Times calls it,”a slow-burning but ultimately incendiary record that, in the best of worlds would propel the singer to Bon Iverian levels of acclaim.”

Out February 7th on cd and lp, Tramp is now available for pre-order in both deluxe and regular editions. The deluxe bundle includes some pretty awesome swag, including both CD and LP versions of the album as well as a digital download coupon, lyric booklet, signed letter (while supplies last), poster, exclusive ‘Serpents b/w Mike McDermott’ 7″ and early gratification download of the album, redeemable starting January 17.  You can order yours here.

Sharon Van Etten Releases Serpents, The First Single From Tramp

The building suspense leading up to the release of Tramp continues! Sharon Van Etten’s first single from the album, “Serpents,” was released today, along with the the track “Mike McDermott,” which will not be on the full-length. Both songs can be purchased here via iTunes, or at a number of other fine digital retailers across the vast oceans of the internet.

Tramp is out February 7, followed by a nationwide tour. Dates below!

Sharon Van Etten’s “Serpents” Debuts at Pitchfork

The first track off Tramp, Sharon Van Etten’s debut album with Jagjaguwar, premiered today at Pitchfork! “Serpents” features both Aaron and Bryce Dessner of the National, The Walkmen’s Matt Barrick, Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner, and Doveman’s Thomas Bartlett. You can listen to it here.

Sharon Van Etten Announces New Album, Tramp, Out February 7

We are pleased to announce that Sharon Van Etten’s debut album on Jagjaguwar, Tramp, will be released February 7. The album, which is the culmination of  14 months of scattered recording sessions with the National’s Aaron Dessner, contains as much striking rock as pious, minimal beauty; it can be as emotionally combative as it can sultry. Contributions from Matt Barrick (The Walkmen), Thomas Bartlett (aka Doveman), Zach Condon (Beirut), Jenn Wasner (Wye Oak), Julianna Barwick, and Dessner himself add a glowing sheen to the already substantial offering.
