WATCH // The Cave Singers Live for KEXP

Hello Monday. The Cave Singers treat us to a brand new live session. The band recently stopped into Seattles’ KEXP studios to perform four songs from their album, Naomi. You can stream the full performance above or head to KEXP for individual videos.

“…it [also] feels very free and liberating, and obviously it’s celebratory and sometimes [even] transcendent for me—that happens mostly when [The Cave Singers and the crowd] are sort of in this together, so there’s like this unanimous spirit.” – Peter Quirk on playing live // Filter interview

You can catch the Cave bros live in concert. They’re currently finishing up a run of dates alongside Bleeding Rainbow, with another tour planned for June. See their full schedule HERE.

Until In Excess, Imperceptible UFO

“Lasek and Goreas aren’t mere songwriters who produce pop tunes; they are composers who create musical suites out of sweepingly melodic movements….another Besnard Lakes’ album album that stubbornly demands to be absorbed all at once, from beginning to end.”Pitchfork

“Each element – each tiny nuance, even – feels very deliberate: the long, syncopated riffs, the extra bars, the meticulous song structures. Every epic build is delivered consciously, aided by detailed production and dramatically dense arrangements (harpists and strongs and Spencer Krug added to the mix here).”Under The Radar

“It’s rock music, folks, but not as we know it. Canadian husband and wife duo Olga Goreas and Jace Lasek have long since proved their chops as purveyors of elegant, muscular splendor. Now, the pair have hopped into their space buggy and are cruising from planet to planet, beaming back transmissions of dreamy, death-walks romanticism (’46 Satires’) languid grandeur (‘People of The Sticks’), stardust-srinkled soundscapes (‘Catalina’) and wall-of-sound climaxes of rushing noise (swansongs ‘Alamogordo’).”NME
