Lia Ices Interview and Exclusive Video Posted at the Village Voice

Parts & Labor alum and famously terse music critic Christopher R. Weingarten featured Jagjaguwar’s Lia Ices in this week’s Village Voice “Yes In My Backyard” column.  The post features a new video (featured above) of Lia’s recording session that included the vocals for “Grown Unknown.” You can read all about Lia’s process, what “Grown  Unknown” is really about, and if those are actually hand claps or thigh slaps (hint: they are thigh slaps).
