RECORD STORE DAY ESSENTIAL // Shearon Van Ettenwater Split 7″

Sharon Van Etten and Shearwater cover “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around”

RECORD STORE DAY IS UPON US. As April nears, we all frantically search the web looking for the novelty releases that have all the potential to become our year favorites. No searching necessary – Sharon Van Etten has joined Shearwater for a collaborative split 7″, out April 20 via Sub Pop. The single features Shearon Van Ettenwater shredding something serious on their previously recorded cover of the Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty duet “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” which you can watch above.

The b-side features a new song, “A Wake for the Minotaur.” Only 3,000 of the these babies exist, so you better put it at the top of your list. You will also find “A Wake for the Minotaur” on Sub Pop’s Terminal Sales Vol. 6: The Silver Ticket CD comp, a free RSD giveaway. See artwork below and all the details at Pitchfork!
