Julie Doiron Releases New Album, Available for Streaming at Exclaim

After three years of writing and touring, Jagjaguwar alum, Julie Doiron, shares her ninth studio album. Titled So Many Days, the album is out on Aporia and available for streaming via Exclaim. Julie complete the album while touring in support of I Can Wonder What You Did With Your Day and also as member of Gord Downie’s backing band, The Country of Miracles. It’s the third album completed with producer Rick White.

Love for So Many Days

“The chamomile warmth of Julie Doiron’s voice is deceptive….Doiron has always aimed to capture the kaleidoscopic emotional range of ordinary moments, and accordingly the moods of her songs often transform line by line. Out of this approach, she creates songs that move fluidly, moodily, unpredictably– like life.” – Pitchfork

“…Doiron has come back with a polished collection of folk rock songs about love and sadness.” – CBC Music

“So Many Days is actually quite an optimistic record, on the balance, though it earns its silver linings by freely swimming around in its storm clouds. It gives — like a lot of Doiron’s work — an incredibly rare insight into the bare, honest struggle of simply being a person in the world.” – National Post

Stream I Bet On Sky at NPR

“I Bet on Sky channels the best of Dinosaur Jr.’s lethargic fury, as Mascis continues to wrap words of alienation and ennui in wiry energy, not to mention guitars that shred and shred some more. The result still feels fresh, 27 years on. Just don’t skimp on the earplugs.”Stephen Thompson, NPR

Once you’re acquainted with the record, head out to see Dinosaur Jr. live in concert. They’ll kick off their tour in Toronto on September 24! Dates include stops at Midpoint Music and Pygmalion festivals. Full schedule and ticket links HERE.
