COMING SOON: Soundtrack to Rick Alverson’s “The Comedy,” Watch Official Film Trailer

Here it is! Jagjaguwar is happy to bring you the soundtrack from Rick Alverson’s “The Comedy.” Featuring songs from artists both old and new, the music was chosen to exemplify “the autumn of the American Era.” You’ll find the full tracklisting below! The soundtrack is out November 13 on both digital and vinyl formats.

Watch above! “The Comedy” is out via On Demand (Cable VOD, iTunes, Amazon, VUDU) starting October 24 and in theaters on November 9; look for showings throughout the month with filmmaker Q&A’s in select cities! Black Mountain Creates Soundtrack to New Movie, ‘Year Zero’

Black Mountain creates original soundtrack to movie? You heard right. It’s all for the post-apocalyptic film Year Zero and can be heard in its entirety come April 3rd. Including both old and new Black Mountain tracks, the soundtrack features nine songs, one of which you can download and stream below. The eight-minute long jam, “Mary Lou”, as Fader says it, “marks the return of Black Mountain.” Check out the Year Zero trailer above!

Odawas’ Michael Tapscott Helms The Soundtrack of Two Films

Odawas’ Michael Taspcott often noted Eric Serra’s soundtrack for Luc Besson’s “The Big Blue” as the largest inspiration for Odawas’ 2009 longplayer The Blue Depths. Paired with his well-known love for Vangelis’ work on “Blade Runner” and “Antarctica,” it’s no secret Tapscott has a wide open heart for the soundtrack genre. Now, he’s lent his own talents to two film scores, both from director Neil Blakemore (who is incidentally no stranger to Jagjaguwar, using his mad bookkeeping skills to help keep us afloat back in the day.)
