SIMON JOYNER Reissue, Singles Comp and New Album On the Horizon

In an ongoing effort to bring important music from our past & present to the forefront of the cultural consciousness, Simon Joyner and Jagjaguwar have been relentlessly dragging the fertile river of song and are finding many a treasure. The bounty of our toils will slowly manifest itself over the next year, taking the shape of reissues and new albums alike. First up on December 6 is the first ever vinyl release of Simon Joyner’s influential debut, the solo acoustic “Room Temperature” (1993). Then in early 2006, Jagjaguwar will be releasing the first ever multiple-year spanning collection of Joyner’s work. “Beautiful Losers: Singles and Compilation Tracks 1994-1999″ will present most of his reputation-defining tracks for the first time in a widely distributed manner or released on CD. In the summer we’ll be presenting a brand new full-length, which he’s currently making in Omaha, Nebraska, with the steady Michael Krassner at the helm.
