WATCH: New Moonface Video, U.S. Tour Starts this Week

Directed by UK artist Marsha Balaeva, the new video for Moonface’s “Faraway Lightning” premiered today on MTV Hive. Balaeva created the video with her own hand-drawn images. “According to her, the story corresponds to the five stages of mourning — as the clip’s protagonist travels between worlds, he comes to grips with his loss. Krug is a master at blending myth and fantasy into everyday stories — in fact, the character’s feather suit and fall to earth recalls the Icarus story, a myth Krug used frequently with Sunset Rubdown.” It’s the second video to accompany his recently released album With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery. Watch above!

Spencer Krug kicks off his U.S. tour this week. Joining him at every show is Siinai, with whom he collaborated on Heartbreaking Bravery. See the full list of dates HERE.

Moonface: Updates From Finland & New Tour

Moonface & Siinai

Lots going down in the Moonface world today. First off, that picture above was sent to us a few days ago from Finland. Spencer is currently holed up in a Finnish studio recording a new Moonface record with Siinai. We haven’t heard a ton from the session but it’s safe to say you’ll be stoked.

Second, Moonface will be heading back out on tour this October in the US playing ALL THE HITS from Organ Music not Vibraphone like I’d Hoped. Joining Spencer will be world renowned nice guy/electric marimba player, Mike Bigelow. Click on through for a full list of stops.
