It’s a video folks! Foxygen share their Ulysses///Onasis directed music video for “Shuggie,” the first single from their forthcoming debut album. The black and white visual follows a bunch of people running around with a box and some goop. What does it all mean? Find out for yourself above.

We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic is now up for pre-order! Secure your copy at SC Distribution!

Best news of the day? Foxygen’s “highly-entertaining live show” is coming to a city near you! Rado, Sam France and the gang are currently treating Europe to their wild array of fun. They return to the States next week to kick off dates with Of Montreal and continue touring in 2013 with labelmates Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Go ahead and check out all their shows HERE.

FOXYGEN CMJ ROUND UP

Perhaps you’ve already seen Rado and Sam France on the cover of NYC’s Deli Magazine. They were featured in Issue #32 – the CMJ edition. You can read & download the magazine HERE. They didn’t make the cover just for kicks – Foxygen took CMJ by storm and never once looked back. Proof’s in the video; watch Foxy perform “Make It Known” below. If one thing is for sure, they definitely didn’t go unnoticed. From the music to their style to their unwieldy live performances, Foxygen made lists on lists. Luckily, it’s just beginning. What it is – we’re not completely sure, but that’s okay. Sit back and enjoy the weird ride with the rest of us >> start with a new round of tour dates (find below). Read the rest of this entry »

Foxygen Proclaim Themselves The 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic, Dates w/ Of Montreal

You’ve been asking, now here it is! Rock’n’roll babies, Foxygen, bring your their debut full-length, We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic. It’s the follow-up to their critically acclaimed mini-album released this past summer.

Produced by the lovely Richard Swift, the new album was recorded at his National Freedom studio earlier this year and done so in an act of intergalatic kindness. Foxygen tell us each song is a message of peace delivered from cosmic beings, who use Rado and France as their earthly messengers. Pitchfork premiered the first single, “Shuggie,” this morning >>> listen below!

The Foxygen fun doesn’t stop with the audio. These rock scientists are headed out on tour with Of Montreal and we couldn’t be more excited for the pairing! Before they join up with our Polyvinyl friends, they’ll head to New York City for dates at CMJ. See the full schedule below.
