WATCH // Lightning Dust Premieres New Video For “Loaded Gun” On Vevo, On Tour Through Early Fall

Need something new to watch during your mid-week slump? Lightning Dust premiered their stylized new video for “Loaded Gun” on Vevo last night! The visual, directed by Zachary Rothman, brings you into a bleak, pitch black environment only lit by fluorescent light bulbs mixed with some freaky imagery. The video matches the dark, ominous vibe of “Loaded Gun”, off Lightning Dust’s newest album, Fantasy. Watch the video above and then catch the band at Pickathon in early August and in a city near you by checking the dates below.

ALBUM RELEASE // Lightning Dust ‘FANTASY’ Out Today

Happy release day! Lightning Dust’s new album ‘Fantasy’ is out today online and in stores! ‘Fantasy’ is a followup to the group’s 2009 release, ‘Infinite Light’, and is available now from Amazon, iTunes, SC Distribution, and your local record store. Also, if you missed them the other day check out these fantastic remixes of “Loaded Gun”.

The first critics have weighed in on ‘Fantasy’:

Lightning Dust’s giving close attention to details of composition, resisting the temptation to stretch material or ideas too thinly, has brought about an album of ambition and maturity, of subtle shades of darkness and light, of promise fulfilled.

With Siinai: Heartbreaking Bravery

“The result is a blend of startling lyrical depth and slow, whirlpools of murky music.” Consequence of Sound

Where Krug’s output in the late 2000s was virtuosic and volatile, Bravery is poised and comparatively stoic. The record functions on tension and, for the most part, does so brilliantly. PopMatters

“Juggling minimalism and majesty, Krug elegantly conducts every one of Siinai’s fluttering, kosmische pulses into the numb room behind his sternum. No wonder his heart is breaking.” A.V. Club
