Bon Iver Session on World Cafe Today!

courtesy of NPR

Oh for goodness’ sake, this is incredible.

Bon Iver recorded a session at the Rare Book Room Studio in Brooklyn for XPN’s World Cafe with David Dye. The whole band records acoustic versions of “Holocene” and “Beach Baby” and Justin does a solo piano version of “Beth/Rest” that will just fucking knock your socks off (or your mandals or your uggs or whatever).

You can check your local listings for broadcast times, but the show will be archived at the World Cafe page.

Brian Williams Interview with Lia Ices

Brian Williams, or BriWi, as his friends call him (moiself included), is America’s Greatest News Anchor. He’s recently brought us stories of Brooklyn Artisanal Cheese and Slow Jammed the news along with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night. I kinda knew he was into indie rock, but I never knew how hard he was going to rep for Lia Ices.

BriWi loves Lia Ices, particularly the song “Little Marriage.” He met up with her recently at the Rare Book Room studio to play a little and have a chat. The love is palpable. Check out the clip above, or watch the full thing here at MSNBC.com.
