Women Release Second Single, Announce US Tour, & Nail It On BBC

womenWonderful news, friends! Our Canadian brethren in Women have released another song for your aural consumption. “Narrow With The Hall” is the third track on the guy’s new record, “Public Strain,” and it’s quite possibly the best marriage of melody and chaos that you’ll hear anytime soon. That’s right, folks. When you pre-order Women’s stellar new record, “Public Strain,” you’ll get a limited edition 7″ that includes two brand new, non-album, tracks. Here’s a little more info on the songs:

Both tracks on this limited 7″ deliver additional insight into the collision of style that informs Women’s complex new album. “Grey Skies,” a pristine, 1950′s slow dance weeper is a throwback to an era when musical composition wasn’t entirely hinged-upon irony. “Service Animal” seamlessly bounces upon charmingly polarized guitar phrases and 60′s inspired melody.”

Women Announce Second Album: Public Strain

Public StrainIt’s been just under 2 years since the self titled debut release from these Canadian dudes. They were hard at work in that time, though. Matt toured China with Marnie Stern. Mike released a record on St. Ives with his band Friendo. And, as Women, they played over 200 shows around the world.
