PINK MOUNTAINTOPS Song Featured On Beck’s DJ Mix

It turns out that Beck featured “Can You Do That Dance?” from PINK MOUNTAINTOPS’ self titled debut on his “Planned Obsolescence” DJ mix series.

Beck describes the mix, entitled “Autobahn Hologram,” in total Beck fashion: “[Autobahn Hologram is] a laminated miasma colliding on the bavarian trans expressway with american analog and voicemail emeritus… alabama nukes, rhineland jukes, pony tailed arch dukes, and the anatomically correct scapegoat…”

PINK MOUNTAINTOPS And WOMEN Nominated For Polaris Music Prize

Each year The Polaris Music Prize nominates 40 Canadian bands who they believe have released one of the years best records. This year, we’re pleased to announce that PINK MOUNTAINTOPS’ third full length, Outside Love, and WOMEN’s self titled debut have both been nominated in the initial long list. They are joined by the likes of Fucked Up, Handsome Furs, Junior Boys, & Leonard Cohen.

The long list of 40 will be whittled down to 10 bands by a panel of over 180 jurors from the music industry on July 7th. Those bands will then be up to win the $20,000 prize.

For more information, and a full list of nominees, head over to the Polaris site HERE.
