Chigliak Release First Record, Amateur Love’s “It’s All Aquatic”

We are incredibly excited to see Chigliak’s first release, Amateur Love’s It’s All Aquatic available to the masses. Officially out now on both CD and vinyl, the reissue comes with a special download of unreleased recordings that have come to be known as the Ev Sessions. Minneapolis’ Ev Olcott recorded the session and while the band considers it unfinished, the songs remain a great testament to what could have been.

“What Amateur Love means to the history of Eau Claire music is representative of everything we set out to illuminate with this record label. Our goal is to release records that hold weight in people’s hearts…Amateur Love became one of the most enigmatic and electrifying bands I have ever known.” – Justin Vernon

Congratulations to Justin Vernon, Amateur Love and the entire Chigliak Family! Order your copy of It’s All Aquatic HERE and listen to “Con/A Sewer/Cat” below!

Lia Ices Delivers a Beautiful New Video and Covers Pink Floyd

Lia Ices Official “Little Marriage” Video from Secretly Jag on Vimeo.

Two awesome pieces from Lia Ices today! Premiering on Fader earlier this morning, the new video for “Little Marriage” is a whimsical dance through a bevy of faded images. Heidi Petty created the video.

Out on April 4th, the “Wish You Were Here” single is both a moving and refreshing take on one of Pink Floyd’s best known songs. Lia originally recorded the track for Mojo Magazine’s Pink Floyd tribute compilation. The 7-inch also features Lia’s take on Syd Barret’s “Late Night.” You can listen to “Wish You Were Here” below!

Jag & Brah Release Shinji Masuko LP

Hey there brahs and sahs! Today in conjunction with Jagjaguwar imprint Brah Records, we’re celebrating the release of Shinji Masuko’s Woven Music LP.  Oneida / Brah mastermind Kid Millions wrote the following special message for the occasion:

It is a very special day for all of us at Brah – arguably the most beautiful recording we’ve ever released (excepting the Dirty Faces’ Rocky Bleier) is available today!

Shinji Masuko is the founder of DMBQ and the guitarist and official luthier for the Boredoms. . .transformed some music originally recorded to run underneath sections of the Boredoms’ incredible Boadrum composition into stand alone as a single release. It’s coming out on limited edition vinyl and download. . .

If you wanna check out how heavy these tracks are before you pick up the vinyl check them out on Soundcloud HERE. Read more about Shinji and Woven Music HERE.
