Man Forever’s “Pansophical Cataract” Out Tomorrow, May 15th

Oneida drummer and Brah Records CEO Kid Millions’ Man Forever, “the bohemian collective of shape shifters he’s united to realize his percussive-based spiritual vision” as Village Voice calls it, has been signed to Thrill Jockey. His new record, Pansophical Cataract, featuring Brian Chase, Shahin Motia, James McNew, Richard Hoffman, and Ryan Sawyer, comes out tomorrow, May 15th.

If you’re in New York City, catch their release show tomorrow at Le Poisson Rouge. The first leg of the North American tour kicks off in Baltimore on May 20th and winds up back in Brooklyn on June 29th. See full list of dates HERE.

Finally, a number of Man Forever’s New York collaborators got together and made a video for the release! Watch above!

“The Man Forever album may be a solo endeavor, but it is also an expression of a musician who has become deeply enmeshed in the underground rock world of New York and beyond. In the late 1990s he booked the Knitting Factory in Manhattan, and by playing in more bands than even he can easily keep track of — as well as working at Oneida’s recording studio and operating its record label, Brah — Kid Millions has become a ubiquitous force in a constantly changing scene.”

To celebrate the new St. Ives LP, Man Forever, The New York Times’s Ben Sisario wrote a great profile on Kid Millions.  Recognize!!!
