We’re extremely excited for Angel Olsen‘s new album out February 18th, and as another teaser for the release, she has shared a new video for “Hi-Five” directed/filmed by Angel’s constant collaborator, Zia Anger. Watch Angel steal your heart and ours once again above or on our YouTube page here.
On the style of the video, director Anger says she was inspired by 1960s and 1970s telecasts:
They were always so wild and psychedelic and humorous from afar. The more you watch them, the more wooden and awkward the performances become. There is a certain loneliness captured. The song ‘Hi-Five’ seems to contain the same sort of duality.

As always, we’ve got a round of tour dates for you. Foxygen hit the road this summer, playing a million different music festivals. You’ll find all the dates HERE.
La Blogothèque delights us with another wonderful Take Away Show. Filmed ealier this year in Paris, Soirée de Poche: Sharon Van Etten is a beautifully intimate video of the songstress, who has managed to encapsulate just about every person who dares take a listen. Joined by Heather Woods Broderick and armed only with her acoustic guitar, Sharon stands in front of a handful of people and delivers another incredibly moving performance. It’s really something you have to watch for yourself.
