WATCH // The Cave Singers Live for KEXP

Hello Monday. The Cave Singers treat us to a brand new live session. The band recently stopped into Seattles’ KEXP studios to perform four songs from their album, Naomi. You can stream the full performance above or head to KEXP for individual videos.

“…it [also] feels very free and liberating, and obviously it’s celebratory and sometimes [even] transcendent for me—that happens mostly when [The Cave Singers and the crowd] are sort of in this together, so there’s like this unanimous spirit.” – Peter Quirk on playing live // Filter interview

You can catch the Cave bros live in concert. They’re currently finishing up a run of dates alongside Bleeding Rainbow, with another tour planned for June. See their full schedule HERE.

ALBUM ANNOUNCEMENT // The Cave Singers Set to Release ‘Naomi’ in March 2013, First Track Available for Streaming

Next year continues to get better and better! The Cave Singers announce their fourth full-length, Naomi, set for release on March 5, 2013. Naomi came to be over a span of ten months and the boys headed into the studio to lay down the tracks in one, with Seattle producer Phil Ek adding the final touches. It’s an album full of love and suffering, surrender and redemption: the messy stuff of life. When premiering the first single this morning,KEXP writes “The ‘Singers have never had such swagger!” Stream “Have to Pretend” above!

WATCH: The Cave Singers Live at Pickathon Music Festival

Two summers ago, The Cave Singers performed a brand new song for KEXP backstage at Pickathon. So new, it didn’t even have a name. A few weeks ago, they made their return to the festival and played that no-name song, now called “Haller Lake,” as well as “Swim Club,” both found on 2011′s No Witch. They seem right at home in the Bunny Glade. Watch above.
