Peter Wolf Crier Heatin’ Up The Greenhouse

Peter Wolf Crier knows that sometimes you gotta get creative growing crops in the northern climes of Duluth, MN. The band goes green for their North Shore Session, playing for the plant crowd and heating up a green house with “Untitled 101.” Sounds like it’ll be a good crop in Duluth this year!

Peter Wolf Crier Cover Nick Drake’s “Place To Be”

PWC place to be coverThe above photo contains no photoshopping, no tricks of the eye. This photo of Peter Wolf Crier’s Brian Moen and Peter Pisano was taken on the Gulf Coast near Galveston, TX in July, mere hours before Hurricane Alex hit the shore. The band was en route to a show in Houston that ended up being cancelled due to the storm. This begs the question, “What do you do when your tour route collides with the path of a hurricane?” The answer would be to find a nice warm, dry, and safe “Place To Be.” So today Peter Wolf Crier is offering just that, a new cover of Nick Drake’s classic “Place To Be.” Peter Wolf Crier breathes new life into this track with Peter’s exuberant vocals, and some nice production touches from Brian, like the backwards tape loop used at the beginning of the song that gives the track a new, more modern twist. This song has been a part of Peter Wolf Crier’s live set for most of this year, but now you can listen to it in the warm, dry comfort of your own home.

Peter Wolf Crier Releases New Video, Tour with Dawes

Peter Wolf Crier has once again teamed up with the visionaires at Northern Outpost, putting together a new video for“Down Down Down.” After collaborating with Peter Wolf Crier on the “Hard As Nails” video earlier this year, Northern Outpost once again finds the maximal effect in minimal elements for “Down Down Down.” Incorporating simple black and white lighting and a scrolling film reel effect, this video captures the fluid, but heavy feel of the song.

Coming into the home stretch of 2010, Peter Wolf Crier are still going strong. Right on the heels of a great tour with Midlake and Rogue Wave, Peter Wolf Crier will start their fall tour with Dawes and on some dates Vetiver. From there they’ll finish out the year with their first tour of the UK. Full tour dates after the jump.
