I’m So Excited I’m Gonna Throw My Shoes! Henry Rollins Interviews Dinosaur Jr.

Last week Henry Rollins toured with Dinosaur Jr. interviewing the band live on stage every night before Dinosaur Jr. played their album Bug in its entirety. You can watch the interview at the New York show above. It’s an interesting talk as they cover the 80s underground scene and the early history of Dinosaur Jr. Things get a little strange at around the 9 minute mark when a fan throws both of his shoes at the stage. Rollins’ response to the action is pretty genius. It’s almost as if he’s had to deal with an unruly crowd or two before this?!? You can check out more live footage of Dinosaur Jr. performing as well as footage of openers Off! over at Death + Taxes.

WATCH: Dinosaur Jr. “Freak Scene” Live

Last night Dinosaur Jr. continued their East Coast tour performing their classic album Bug in its entirety with a performance at New York’s Terminal 5. Check out Dinosaur Jr. ripping through Bug‘s signature cut “Freak Scene” above. The night opened with performances by Fucked Up and Off! and Dinosaur Jr. was interviewed live from the stage by Henry Rollins before their set. You can read live reviews at Brooklyn Vegan and The Village Voice and see exactly why was one of the must see concerts of the year. If you’re lucky enough to live in Washington DC, Atlanta, Carrboro, or Philadelphia (tonight) you can catch Dinosaur Jr. in your town this weekend. Full tour dates and ticket links HERE.

Dinosaur Jr’s Bug Tour Starts Next Week. Win a Chance to Film Dinosaur Jr’s Show in Washington DC

The band will be performing their classic 1988 album Bug in it’s entirety and Henry Rollins will be interviewing Dinosaur Jr. live from the stage before their set.
