Watch this new video of Peter Wolf Crier performing a fantastic rendition of “Haunt You,” off their latest release, Garden of Arms. S. Carey and Peter Wolf Crier Play Next Week at FRZN Fest

Sean Carey has been mighty busy touring every which way with Bon Iver, but he’s taking a pause to play a set at this year’s FRZN Fest in Madison, WI. Peter Wolf Crier will also be playing the festival, coming off the heels of some heavy touring toward the end of 2011 and the release of their last album, Garden of Arms. Catch both of these wonderful artists and more at the festival on Sat, Jan 14. They’ll be playing at 8pm at the High Noon Saloon (701 E. Washington Ave. Madison, WI). The show is only $12 (or $15-20 if you want to stick around for both nights of the festival).

Peter Wolf Crier cover Wham’s “Last Christmas” for AV Club

Peter Wolf Crier cover “Last Christmas”

Thanksgiving is over, which means it’s time to put up the holiday decorations. Let Peter Wolf Crier help you get in the mood with their cover of Wham’s “Last Christmas.” There are no snowbunnies in this video, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any surprises. Stay tuned to the end for whispers & wall art. And like AV Club suggests, Garden of Arms would make a great gift, which you can buy here.

Peter Wolf Crier Premiere “Settling It Off” Remix

Peter Wolf Crier have released a remix of their single “Settling It Off” today. The track features Minneapolis PWC compatriots Joe Horton of No Bird Sing, Kristoff Krane, and Alexei Casselle aka MC Crescent Moon of Kill the Vultures. The four friends met when they were introduced by Mikey Larsen of Eyedea & Abilities, who passed away last year. Peter Pisano says of the track, “Can you hear it when you listen to the remix? You know how it sounds like their verses live in three tenses at once: Grandpa’s earest wisdom, Brother’s beautiful skill, and Mom and Dad’s upright courage? This is what it felt like to drink with Mike.” You can check out the remix here or over at Welikeit.indie

The band is also gearing up for a run of West Coast dates with Birds + Batteries as well as Sondre Lerche later in the month. A full list of shows is here.

Peter Wolf Crier video premiere on RollingStone.com

Peter Wolf Crier have premiered the video for their single, “Settling It Off” on the Rolling Stone website. Singer Peter Pisano says, “‘Settling it Off’ is an agnostic hymn written for B96.3FM in Chicago. If it were released between 1990-1994, I would have taped it off the radio and danced to it in my bedroom (running man: verse 2 on).” The video was shot and directed by Ryan Thompson of Picture Machine (Yelle, Bon Iver, Tapes n Tapes).

Garden of Arms is streaming right now at AOL Spinner and the band recently performed a live set at Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current, which you can watch now online. The album is available for order from SC Distribution and copies will also be available from the band while they’re on tour, which officially kicks off tonight at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis. Check out a full list of tour dates here.
