Earlier this summer, The Wild Unknown put on their second annual Forest Party in upstate New York. It all took place at the home of Family Band’s Kim Krans and Jonny Ollsin, who built the quaint cabin that sits on the property themselves. Lots of folks headed north for the special get-together, including Stephen McBean of Pink Mountaintops. He lent a hand in constructing the set-up and then, with guitar in hand, took park in a number of performances. Watch him play ““Closer to Heaven” above.

Black Mountain Creates Soundtrack to New Movie, ‘Year Zero’

Black Mountain creates original soundtrack to movie? You heard right. It’s all for the post-apocalyptic film Year Zero and can be heard in its entirety come April 3rd. Including both old and new Black Mountain tracks, the soundtrack features nine songs, one of which you can download and stream below. The eight-minute long jam, “Mary Lou”, as Fader says it, “marks the return of Black Mountain.” Check out the Year Zero trailer above!
