Sunday couldn’t have been better for Bon Iver’s Bonnaroo performance. The overcast skies and light mist created the perfect atmosphere for the show, which thousands of people came out to see. For those who weren’t able to make it to festival this year (and those who want to relive the experience), here’s your chance to capture the live show. In this video, Bon Iver perform a stellar version of “Blood Bank” from the What Stage.
Don’t miss Bon Iver on their European tour this summer! Full list of dates HERE.
Kathleen Edwards album Voyageur, the much anticipated follow-up to 2008′s Asking for Flowers, is set for release January 17. In addition to the fact that the album is being co-produced by Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, we were thrilled to find out that a number of our other artists are appearing on it as well.
Listeners can look forward to musical stylings from Sean Carey (S. Carey, Bon Iver), Brian Moen (Peter Wolf Crier) and Vernon, who also contributed backing vocals, guitar, piano, organ, bass, banjo and xylophone.

Steve McBean’s Pink Mountaintops will be traveling across Europe this November as a duo – he’ll be joined by American musician Gregg Foreman (Cat Power, Delta 72).
If you didn’t catch this earlier it’s worth mentioning again – Pink Mountaintops perform as “Metal Problem” in the new movieEverything Louder Than Everything Else and play a new song that totally rules called “Through All the Worry.”
It’s been a minute since we’ve delivered some news on Lightning Dust, but fans will be happy to hear the duo have a new split 7″ coming out with Hard Drugs this fall. On October 4, The Storyboard Label will release Lightning Dust “Never Again” b/w Hard Drugs “Summertime Blues” in the form of a white vinyl 7″. These are limited to just 550 copies, and will be available in select Vancouver record stores and Lightning Dust will have some for sale during their upcoming European tour dates. The 7″ is also available for pre-order on The Storyboard Label’s website starting today!

Friend to Black Mountain, photographer Andy K. Bond hopped on tour with the band last month. A set of photos at his blog contains STUNNING images of the band in the some of greatest cities in Europe. Many more photos are at his site here. Below are my personal faves.
Jeremy Schmidt, handsome as ever, as a turquoise chameleon!
Black Mountain ruled, and shows were packed throughout the tour.
Amber Webber and Joshua Wells dans la rue!
Okay, this picture made me clasp my hands in joy. This photo is of Black Mountain’s trusted sound engineer, Remco, feeding some new Italian friends he met. Have you ever seen cows so beautiful in your entire life?
