ON TOUR // Foxygen Announces New Summer And Fall Tour Dates

After just finishing two buzzed about performances at Wilco‘s Solid Sound Festival in Massachusetts and Firefly Music Festival in Delaware, the boys of Foxygen aren’t ready to hang up their touring hats just yet.

Starting with Forecastle on July 13th the band is hitting other big festivals inlcuding Pitchfork on July 21st, Pickathon in early August, and Austin City Limits in October with many more dates in between. Peep the full list of cities below with the new dates in bold.

TOUR ALERT // The Cave Singers Announce June Dates

The Cave Singers have announced a new summer tour! They’ll spend this June playing shows across the Northwest and into Canada, with the routing taking them as far south as Indiana and back home again. Dates kick off with a performance at Spokane’s Elk Fest . It’s the second round of touring the band is setting out on this year in support of their new album Naomi. RECORD STORE DAY IS UPON US. As April nears, we all frantically search the web looking for the novelty releases that have all the potential to become our year favorites. No searching necessary – Sharon Van Etten has joined Shearwater for a collaborative split 7″, out April 20 via Sub Pop. The single features Shearon Van Ettenwater shredding something serious on their previously recorded cover of the Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty duet “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” which you can watch above.

The b-side features a new song, “A Wake for the Minotaur.” Only 3,000 of the these babies exist, so you better put it at the top of your list. WATCH // UMO Premiere New “Swim and Sleep (Like A Shark)” Video at VEVO, Announce SXSW Schedule

Just when you thought things could not get any weirder in comes Unknown Mortal Orchestra with a puppet-starred video for their “Swim and Sleep (Like A Shark), ” a track off UMO’s recently released II. The video features some choice activities – watch ABOVE.

Not to be outdone, UMO will head to Austin next week for all the SXSW festivities! See their performance schedule below and check out all their tour dates HERE. They have also just added a free show at New York City’s Seaport Music Festival on June 28th.

Small Black are back with their new album Limits of Desire! Set for release on May 14, 2013, Limits of Desire is a crystallization of the band’s gorgeous synth-pop sound. Get your first taste with the single “Free At Dawn” – available for streaming above!

Limits of Desire is the sound of four skilled musicians crafting stories about intimacy on the highest level. SB have pared back embellishments, letting their talents take them to a welcomed shift in both sound and style.
