Watch Unofficial Bon Iver “Holocene” Video

One of the great aspects of working with Bon Iver is exchanging with Justin Vernon’s fans; their passion and creativity is consistently inspiring. Bon Iver’s music has influenced visual art, song covers, short films and music videos.
Last week we were sent a short fan video by Brisbane, Australia’s Dylan Wiehahn for “Holocene” on the eve of the release of our official music video for the same song by Nabil Elderkin. We were immediately struck by the similarities. Dylan was inspired by New Zealand, and he filmed his younger brother walking around the forests and lakes of Queenstown. For two directors half a world apart, “Holocene” evoked visions of time-lapsed clouds moving over mountains, youth, and brilliant scenes of the natural landscape.
