Parts & Labor recently participated in The Onion’s Undercover series going for gold and putting together an amazing cover of Kanye West’s “Runaway” which you can watch HERE. When asked why they covered Kanye P&L’s Dan Friel responds “We found your list pretty challenging… So in the end we just decided to do the one that seemed the most difficult and ridiculous.” Well Parts & Labor nails it, adding their own signature squall and hard rocking aesthetic to Kanye’s tour-de-force.
In July Parts & Labor will make their first excursion to Japan for a week of shows (tour dates after the jump). P&L has released a number of their albums through Moorworks in Japan, and for the release of their 2008 album Receivers they recorded a version of the lead single “Nowheres Nigh” in Japanese, renaming it “Dokonimonai” check it out below.
