Peter Wolf Crier Cover Nick Drake’s “Place To Be”

PWC place to be coverThe above photo contains no photoshopping, no tricks of the eye. This photo of Peter Wolf Crier’s Brian Moen and Peter Pisano was taken on the Gulf Coast near Galveston, TX in July, mere hours before Hurricane Alex hit the shore. The band was en route to a show in Houston that ended up being cancelled due to the storm. This begs the question, “What do you do when your tour route collides with the path of a hurricane?” The answer would be to find a nice warm, dry, and safe “Place To Be.” So today Peter Wolf Crier is offering just that, a new cover of Nick Drake’s classic “Place To Be.” Peter Wolf Crier breathes new life into this track with Peter’s exuberant vocals, and some nice production touches from Brian, like the backwards tape loop used at the beginning of the song that gives the track a new, more modern twist.┬áThis song has been a part of Peter Wolf Crier’s live set for most of this year, but now you can listen to it in the warm, dry comfort of your own home.
