Tonight Peter Wolf Crier celebrate the release of their new album Inter-Be with a show in Minneapolis at the Turf Club, starting at 9pm. While Inter-Be doesn’t offically come out until Tuesday, fans in Minneapolis will be able to purchase the album early, at the show tonight. Peter Wolf Crier has been the talk of the town in Minneapolis this week. The show is sponsored by The Onion, Cake In 15, and The Current, Minneapolis’ NPR affiliate who is also currently hosting a stream of Inter-Be in its entirety (check it out HERE). And besides that bevy of powerhouse sponsors for the show Peter Wolf Crier have dominated the local press this week with Star Tribune saying “Inter-Be stands up to the attention… buoyed by comparisons to M. Ward, Robyn Hitchcock and other classic style folk-rock tunesmiths while also standing out as its own kind of rustic, experimental beast,” the Pioneer Press chiming in that Inter-Be “combines the intimacy of folk with the punch of more traditional rock,” and the Minneapolis City Pages rightfully citing that this show is only the beginning as their new found success “is pulling them into unfamiliar territory, and with remarkable speed.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. While the show tonight for the hometown crowd will be something particularly special, we here at Jagjaguwar are eagerly looking forward to a summer full of touring for Peter Wolf Crier, bringing this incredible band to locales close to you.
