Sunset Rubdown preps Johnny Depp for The Mad Hatter

It’s really busy here at Jagjaguwar.  We are gearing up for SXSW and have many gorgeous spring/summer releases to prepare for.  Guess who cut the stress in half and had us smiling from ear to ear?  My husband, Johnny Depp.

This morning an interview with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton ran on CBS Early Show in which Depp spoke about his influences when crafting the character of the Mad Hatter for the upcoming film Alice in Wonderland. He speaks primarily about music, specifically Sunset Rubdown.  Terry Gilliam and Johnny Depp love Sunset Rubdown, you guys.  The magic starts at 3:20 or so.

Sunset Rubdown also has a new music video for “Dragon’s Lair” by Throneboogie debuted today at Pitchfork TV.  “Dragon’s Lair” stars a very brave young girl traversing the wilds of Canada on her beautiful horse and narrowly escaping the evil witch!
