Black Mountain Are Back At It

It’s been a little over two years, or 1,051,200 minutes, or roughly 61,835 back-to-back “Bright Lights” since the release of “In The Future”. All of the Black Mountaineers have been staying busy, though.
In 2009, Steve released “Outside Love” under his Pink Mountaintops moniker and starred in the best promo photos of the year. Amber and Josh teamed back up as Lightning Dust to release the Brownstein Approved “Infinite Light”. Jeremy pulled double duty by designing album art for both of the aforementioned records and got a nod in Storm Thorgerson’s “Classic Album Covers of the 60s” for carrying the torch. Last, but not least, Matt has been playing dress up:
Well, now they’re back at it as Black Mountain. In late December, they spent some time with producer Dave Sardy in L.A. at Sunset Sound Studios and just finished up with Randall Dunn at London Bridges Studios in Seattle. They’ll be testing these songs out later this summer at Scotland’s “T In The Park” festival as well as the annual “End Of The Road” festival in Dorset. Dear UK friends: Color us jealous.
