BON IVER Joins Lollapalooza Line-Up, Performs With Alma Mater High School’s Jazz Band

For the last year and a half, BON IVER’S Justin Vernon has been on a musical tear across the planet. And this summer finds Bon Iver still blazing that trail, most recently adding Bon Iver’s own batch of awesome to an already stellar Lollapalooza 2009 line-up. Meanwhile, this past weekend, Justin performed a set of Bon Iver jammers and jazz standards with the Eau Claire Memorial High School Jazz Band – of which he was once a member not all that long ago. It’s an amazing thing to think about and read about, yes. But watching these young musicians solidly back Justin in an amazing rendition of “For Emma, Forever Ago,” is its own magic altogether.
