OKKERVIL RIVER Launches Youtube Channel With Carl Newman And Will Sheff Duet
Posted: August 19th, 2008 by LegacyIn celebration of OKKERVIL RIVER’s September 9 release of the The Stand Ins YouTube will premiere video footage of Will Sheff and Carl Newman of The New Pornographers performing an acoustic version of the song “Lost Coastlines.” The video will be the first in an 8-video series in which friends of the band act as “Stand Ins” to perform cover songs from the upcoming album. Other performances include covers from Bon Iver and David Vandervelde. Videos for the songs will be released twice a week for the next four weeks. The band is also inviting fans to upload cover songs from The Stand Ins. Videos will be featured on the OKKERVIL RIVER You Tube channel, www.youtube.com/okkervilriver.
