Press accolades continue to roll in for THE BESNARD LAKES

This week, The Besnard Lakes released their Jagjaguwar debut, The Besnard Lakes Are The Dark Horse, to a warm reception all over the globe. Among the praise heaped on this musically ambitious Montreal six-piece is Pitchfork’s stellar review (not too shabby 8.2 score, along with the “Also Recommended” tag), that enthused, “…instead of coming down, the Besnards turn it up another notch thanks to bassist/Lasek’s belle Olga Goreas’ star turn on “Devastations”, a hellacious, fuck-the-man screen delivered in 70s-smooth girly harmonies that provides an uncanny contrast to song’s monstrous psych-metal groove and — oh yes — climactic three-way drum solo.”
