PINK MOUNTAINTOPS To Embark On West Coast Tour / Perform Two Nights With WOLFMOTHER
Posted: September 1st, 2006 by LegacyStephen McBean and gang are back at it, this time re-visiting Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland, among other west coast towns. The highlight of their mini-west coast tour is two nights in Los Angeles and Alpine, opening for Australian sensations WOLFMOTHER, who, like Jagjaguwar recording artists PINK MOUNTAINTOPS, is helping bring back the better parts of retro musical forms, reclaiming some of it from their older peers. The billing could just as well read Jesus Mother & Velvet Chain opening up for AC/Black Zeppelin, and not one audience member would ask for a refund.
Pink Mountaintops features emerging songwriter Stephen McBean, who also plays guitar, sings, and writes songs for the psych-tinged maximal rock group BLACK MOUNTAIN. The band’s most recent release is “Axis of Evol”, and it was released throughout the world on March 7, 2006. Joining Stephen McBean for these west coast dates are band members Jonah Fortune, Amber Webber, Ashley Webber, Ted Bois, Joshua Stevenson and Cory Gangnes.
