ODAWAS embark on mini-tour, solo efforts forthcoming
Posted: January 10th, 2006 by LegacyOdawas is embarking on a mini-tour with dates in Chicago, Cleveland and two shows in New York. On Friday the 20th, the band will play with legendary R. Stevie Moore at Tonic in New York City, for a show presented by Fader Magazine. The next day they will perform with Jagjaguwar faves, Alex Delivery, in Brooklyn.
Other interesting Odawas news: Indiana-based Standard Recording is releasing Odawas member Michael Tapscott’s solo record under the guise MORE ANIMALS OF THE ARCTIC. The LP is entitled “An Appendix of Whaling Terms” and will be released April 11th. Tapscott has also begun work on a record with R. Stevie Moore through the postal service. Finally, Tapscott and his fiance Marlene Dunlevy are planning to launch a new label called Underwater Tea Party Records, releasing recordings by R. Stevie Moore and Justin Vollmar, among others.
